Hope everyone had a great holiday break and first week back at school!
For those who completed the winter break reading challenge, the Loco for Cocoa Readers’ Party will be the afternoon of January 16 - be sure your student brings in their reading logs in if they haven't already done so. Thank you for encouraging your child to meet the challenge to read daily over the winter break - and a big thanks to Ms. Day for coordinating!
There will be some shifts to the Library schedule next week - check below to see if your student's class is impacted:

Townsend - Monday
Sands - Thursday
Chacole - Tuesday
Yom - Monday
The PTA will hold a voting meeting next Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 3:30 to review budget amendments in the library. Stick around after the meeting to view the Celebration of Science projects from 4 - 6 pm.
And finally, a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our holiday Giftcrowd! We had over $15,000 in contributions to our staff - an incredible thank you for all of their hard work last semester!
Celebration of Science - Next Week!
Wednesday, Jan 14
Lee's annual science fair - Celebration of Science - is coming up next Wednesday, January 14!
Students are NOT required to participate - however participation is highly encouraged! All projects must be completed by Wednesday January 14th.

Students in K-2nd will present in their classrooms on January 14th.
Students in 3-6 grades who are not participating in the Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair (GARSEF) will also present their projects in class.
Students in 3rd-6th grade participating in the Science and Engineering Fair will present their projects to a panel of judges outside the classroom.
Parents and Caregivers are invited to view projects after school on January 14th from 4 -6 pm in the Library.

Registration Opens Jan. 20
Get ready for a summer camp filled with creativity, friendship, and fun! Space is limited, and registration is first come, first served—so don't wait. Registration will open on Jan. 20.

Camp Sessions:
• June 1–5
• June 8–12
Camp Hours: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Camp Cost: $315–$425 depending on theme
Extended Care:
• Before Care: 7:30–9:00 AM — $125
• After Care: 3:00–5:30 PM — $155
• Both Before & After Care: $255
Scholarship Information:
The Summer Camp Scholarship Application for students receiving free or reduced lunch opens January 13 at 8 PM.
• $100 per student
• First come, first served
• One scholarship per family in the first round, with additional spots for siblings if available.
Scholarships are generously funded by the Lee PTA.
Give your camper an unforgettable camp experience and support our school at the same time! Camp proceeds help fund staff positions, classroom materials, and professional development, while also giving our teachers a chance to earn extra income.

It’s not too late to register for clubs! Please check the PTA website / registration link (Click Here) for availability and make sure your child’s club dates and pick-up plans are set.
Lee Live - Now Accepting Donations!
Our PTA's annual spring fundraising event - Lee Live - is now accepting donations for the live and silent auctions here. Through the generosity from our community businesses and supporters of Lee, we're able to raise critical funds that directly impact our students!
Auction donations can include gift cards, products, services, vacation get-aways, tickets to events or other suitable in-kind donation.
