Please join us for a PTA meeting after school next Tuesday, 3/10 at 3:30 in the Library. We'll be voting on our Nomination Committee and sharing updates - so please show up to help us meet quorum!

We'll be nominating next year's Executive Board soon - if you've always dreamed of serving on the Executive Board - this is your chance! Reach out to our Parliamentarian Jessica Hoffman (parliamentarian@russellleepta.org) - we're especially looking for Membership and Fundraising VPs for next year.

We're also looking for a chair for the Lee Olympics on May 1 - if you have interest in leading that event along with our amazing Coach Wyss and Coach Stancil - please reach out to vicepresident@russellleepta.org.

Remarkable Roadrunners Spotlight

The PTA is proud to recognize Sheer Nisman and Susana Prince for their recent volunteer contributions to our school!

Sheer Nisman, this year’s Geography Day chair, led the entire event from the earliest planning stages to the final passport stamp. Sheer thoughtfully organized every detail to bring the Czech Republic to life for our students. Her creativity, leadership, and countless hours of coordination made the day both seamless and unforgettable.

Thanks to Sheer’s dedication, our students were able to explore a new culture in a meaningful and joyful way. We are so grateful for the energy and heart she brought to this beloved school tradition.

We'd also like to thank Susana Prince (Roadie Workday Chair; kinder/3rd/6th grade parent) for planning the successful garden workday last Sunday. A handful of teachers have begun taking their students to the garden for brain/test breaks, plant science classes, and garden visits.

Spring Clubs Session 2

Second half enrollment open now!

A couple of our popular after-school clubs are kicking off second sessions later this spring, and registration is opening soon. If your student missed the first session or is looking to try something new, these are great opportunities to jump in.

Young Rembrandts – Session 2

Grades: 1st–5th Day/Time: Mondays, 3:15–4:15 pm Dates: March 30 – May 11 Cost: $96

Young Rembrandts is back for a second session this spring! In this popular drawing class, students learn step-by-step techniques to create fun, detailed artwork while building confidence, focus, and creativity. Each week features a new drawing project and introduces foundational art concepts in a supportive environment.

Austin Youth Fitness (AYF) Biking – Session 2

Grades: 2nd–5th Day/Time: Thursdays, 3:15–4:30 pm Dates: March 24 – May 5 Cost: $234

AYF Biking returns for another session this spring! Students build biking skills, confidence, and independence while riding with trained coaches. Riders practice balance, braking, turning, and trail awareness through fun drills and group rides. Students should be able to ride a bike without training wheels and bring their own bike and helmet each week.

McCallum's Girls Soccer team invites elementary students to their JV and Varsity soccer game this Friday, March 6, starting at 6 pm. Come have some soccer fun on the field pre-game!

Mendocino Farm Receipt Share Recap

Save the date our 3/31 receipt share at Sonic!

Thank you so much for joining us at Mendocino Farms last month! It was so beautiful to see our community all together, enjoying the evening and truly filling the entire restaurant and patio.

In addition to the good times that were shared, we also raised $850 for Lee, which helps support class parties, school events, and making sure our teachers feel loved.

4th grade won the attendance contest and enjoyed a popsicle party this morning to celebrate! The kids ate their popsicles too fast to capture but here's a photo of our 4th grade team enjoying some treats!

Save the date for our March receipt share - Tuesday, March 31 from 4 - 8 pm at Sonic (7708 Burnet Rd). 10% of ALL sales will go back to Lee - so please share with your friends and family!

Lost and Found

Lost and Found will be outside by the cafeteria on Thursdays during pickup (weather permitting). If its raining, your student can always grab their items during school hours, or you can stop by via the front desk. Items older than 3 weeks will be donated by EOD today, so make sure those missing items are getting claimed!

Make sure to label items with first and last names - they'll get returned directly to your student's classroom by our amazing lost and found volunteers!
