FINAL WEEK of Roadrunner Rally!!
Fami-Lee - We are truly in awe of your generosity throughout September! Roadrunner Rally is in it's final days and we still need $2,000 to reach our goal. Each donation large and small make a difference so if you have the ability, please consider donating today.
We've said it time and time again but the Lee PTA supports over $100,000 worth of needed programs, supplies, teacher professional development, and more each year. Each dollar that is donated to Roadrunner Rally is thoughtfully applied in a way that will benefit our students in an impactful way.
We appreciate your continued generosity. Thank you!

Hispanic Heritage Month: Community Spotlight
Hispanic Heritage Month - The remaining weeks of HHM we will be introducing you to Latino/Hispanic members of your Lee Community
The Cruz Family
Q: What do you love most about your culture?
Diana: I am an American woman of Mexican descent and my husband was born in Peru and raised in Chile (Peruvian dad and Chilean mom). The thing we love most about our cultures is the food; it brings people together and is at the center of celebrations.
Q: How do you keep your cultural traditions alive?
Diana: Although I don’t understand the Spanish spoken in Chile too well (lots of slang and very speedy), one of the simplest ways we keep our cultures alive is by speaking the language.
Q: What makes you feel most connected to Lee?
Diana: The people. We are very grateful for the Lee community. Everyone wants what’s best for the kids, and you can see that manifest itself via the outpour of support from the community orchestrated through the various events and programs that our fantastic PTA supports and coordinates.

EVENT RECAPS
Caregiver Conferences - 9/25
Principal Sileo and her team welcomed hundreds of families on Monday for Caregiver Conferences.
Thank you to all of the amazing teachers at Lee who thoughtfully prepared comments and feedback about our children's academic success.
Enrichment Program Focus Group - 09/28
Thank you to everyone who was able to show up tonight and share opinions and insights about the future of our enrichment program! Particular thanks to Coach Dominguez and Coach Hilliard for contributing their personal time and for representing one of our most popular clubs and weighing in as club leaders to the conversation. We are so grateful for our teacher participation!
Highlights of tonight's conversation in consideration of our enrichment poll and attendee contribution; Unanimous support for a requested donation for enrichment clubs with clear communication about the actual cost of club participation and the option for additional donation to support other student's registration; Continuing to support as many quality enrichment opportunities for as many students as possible; Discussed club logistics- including club leader reimbursement, club minimum enrollment, and room designations; and Support for the first come, first serve roll out of club registration.
Thank you to all of those who contributed to the conversation! The PTA board sincerely appreciates all of the support and will use it to roll out another semester of successful enrichment opportunities for our kids!
