It's Time To Rally for Our Roadrunners

We’re officially over halfway through Roadrunner Rally and 65% of the way to our goal of $50,000 - HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

AYF Biking Club - Sign up today!
Spots are still available for the second session of the afterschool biking club with Austin Youth Fitness Biking. Kids learn different routes through their school neighborhood to a different destination each week, with the rides progressing gradually from 2-6 miles over the 6-week session. This session runs from 10/21 - 12/ 9 and costs $234, with sibling, teacher and military discounts. CLICK HERE! To Register

Monster Bash + Clothing Swap
We'll see you next Saturday, October 25 from 2-5 PM!
We still have lots of volunteer spots that need to be filled - we need your hands to help make the carnival possible! We’re also looking for a few volunteers to help manage the Costume Contest line and keep things running smoothly. It’s one of the kids’ favorite events, and your help makes a big difference!

This year’s Fall Carnival will include something new - a Clothing Swap!
Bring any gently used kids’ clothing you’d like to pass along. You can drop items off when you arrive at the carnival, then browse the swap area to find something new-to-you. It's a fun (and sustainable!) way to refresh your child’s wardrobe and keep good clothes out of the landfill.
All leftover items will be donated, so nothing goes to waste.
What to bring: clean, gently used kids’ clothing
Where: Basketball court at the clothing swap tables
When: During the Fall Carnival, Saturday Oct. 25th 2-5pm
Bookfair Starts Next Week
The Literati Everglow Forest Book Fair will be held in the library on Oct 21 - Oct 25. All purchases benefit our school. Thank you for your support!

2:00 - 4:00 on Saturday (Carnival Day)

PTA Meeting Recap
Thank You to Our Generous Donors!
A huge thank you to Starbucks (Mueller) and Salty Blonde Bakery for donating treats for our PTA meeting.
Salty Blonde Bakery is a new food truck in Hyde Park. Please stop by and try their delicious baked goods while supporting a local business.

Principal Sileo kicked off the meeting with a celebration of the first 9 weeks and answered a few questions around AISD Consolidation plans.
PTA President Jillian DeLaTorre Copeland gave a shout out to our PTA VP, Jessie Doloresco and VP Fundraising, Anjali Keller for all of the amazing work that they're doing on behalf of our PTA.

PTA Treasurer, Alisa Viedma reviewed the budget today date, noting updates from our fundraising efforts and expenditures to date.
Dani Monahan and Jeremy Olbrys shared an update on the Outdoor Classroom project. They've been making incredible headway in bring this project to life, but they are looking for a construction project manager to manager the plans from conception to reality. VP of Fundraising, Anjali Keller, let us know that we are at 67% of $50,000 goal for Roadrunner Rally. If we hit $50k by 10/24, Mrs. Sileo will participate in the Dunk Tank at the Fall Carnival - so donate today!
Membership VP Sarah Farrell shared a membership update that we're at 201 PTA members so far - up from 189 members last school year! The cost of PTA membership goes towards funding not only our PTA, but local, state and national PTA. By joining you are contributing to the continued advocacy for our public schools.
PTA Vice President Jessie Doloresco shared a link to vote for the movie at this year's fall movie night (Nov 7 from. 5- 7 pm) and introduced the Multicultural Potluck (Dec 11, 5:30). This new event will be a chance for our community to come together and share dishes that celebrate our families’ unique cultures and flavors from around the world. Lee Orchestra at the Monster Concert
Saturday, November 1, 12 pm - 6:30 pm
Lee's Orchestra will be performing at the 36th Annual Monster Concert and Carnival along with 8 other area schools. There will also be an outdoor carnival, costume contest, and silent auction. You can order wristbands and see more details about this event here.
