Tonight's the Night - we hope you all can join us for Loteria Night and FinaLee Friday!
Loteria Night is from 5-7 pm in the Cafeteria - bring the whole family for some fun, snacks, and some amazing prizes - a portable speaker, lots of giftcards, and your very own Loteria game to take home!
Then head outside to FinaLee Friday from 7 - 9 pm - we'll have live music, ice cream, and a whole playground to keep kiddos entertained.

Teaching Assistant Appreciation Week
This week we celebrated our amazing Teaching Assistant Team - Dani Monahan, Leauana Sanchez and Porsha Shores - who's support in and out of the classroom is invaluable to our students.
Next week is Custodian Appreciation Week - help us say thank to to these amazing staff members by sharing a note of gratitude to appreciation@russellleepta.org - our PTA Appreciation chair will compile all of the notes and send them on to our amazing Custodial Staff!

Roadie Workday
Come beautify our camps on Sunday, 9/27
We're having our first Roadie Workday of the year this Sunday, 9/27 starting at 8 am.
Join us to clean out the flower beds and raised bed to prep them for fall foliage! If working in the gardens isn't your thing, then we have a job for you! We'll be installing the cork for Ms. Wilborn to be able to display our students artwork for years to come!

We spent a lot of time talking about Hispanic Heritage Month this week.
We also reviewed some techniques that good readers do - such as: ask questions as you are reading and look for the answers in the text, make connections, and pay attention to memorable moments in the story.
Next week we will have Fall Pictures taken in the library. If your child has library on Tuesday morning, please send their books with them on Friday. Fortunately, we do not have to move the afternoon classes.

We're once again organizing a Halloween Costume Exchange for our students - drop your costumes off between Oct 5-16th, and then come "shop" new to you costumes on Thursday, Oct. 22.
