Fami-Lee,
We've got a very short Rundown for you this week but a few important calendar reminders that you'll want to take note of so check them out below! The week after break we've got 3 amazing Lee community events (Family Night at Bookpeople Principal's Coffee, & Movie Night & Clothing swap). There are also some great ways to give back to the community (Coat Drive & MACares Fundraiser).
Thanks for reading this week's Roadrunner Rundown. As always feel free to share your comments, questions, or feature suggestions with Clarissa at communications@russellleepta.org.
Congrats to Ms. Wilborn!
Let's all congratulate Ms. Wilborn on being selected to present at the 2024 NAEA National Convention to take place in April.

We'll start with a Lee clothing swap then settle down to enjoy an outdoor movie.
Lost & Found Reminders
Consider this your reminder to check Lost and Found in the 2nd grade hallway for any missing items. With sporadic colder temperatures out there, our Roadrunners are misplacing items at a record pace and the Lost and Found area is getting unwieldy.
REMEMBER to always label your Roadrunner's personal items
If something is lost:
Remind your Roadrunner to check Lost and Found during the school day,
Alert your classroom teacher in case they've seen it
Email Lost & Found and ask about the lost item
Check in with a photo ID at the front office so you can browse Lost and Found
Check the Russell Lee Elementary PTA Facebook Group & Rundown for weekly Lost & Found posts
See the latest Lost & Found items below: (notice that the "to be donated rack is very full right now!)

WEEKLY RECAP
Thanksgiving Lunch
It was lovely to have so many happy members of our Fami-Lee participate in the AISD Thanksgiving Lunch at Lee on Thursday!!
Lee Turkey Trot & Fun Run
Y'all this event was so much fun to watch! The Turkey Trot Squad was absolutely festive in their outfits and put together another spectacular event for our Roadrunners to enjoy. The kids looked to be having a great time as the spent some time at each of the Turkey Trot (running, obstacle course, Tug of War, and face painting). There was a trusty crew of 6th grade roadrunners helping out all over the place and the merch table was well stocked.
Teacher Appreciation - November
Sending out a huge thank you to our Lee School-Wide Appreciation Chair, Stephanie Lermer for putting together a delicious "build your own trail mix" station in the teacher's lounge!
About Lee School-Wide Appreciation
At Lee, the PTA tries to show our teachers all year, in both small and large ways how much we appreciate them. On a monthly basis, our Appreciation Chair puts together a special delivery to help bring some of that appreciation and fun to the teachers.
How you can help
Don't forget, you can show your support by helping to re-stock the Teacher's Lounge using the Amazon Wishlist or by dropping items off in person. If you have questions or ideas on how we can show our teachers how awesome they are, email the Appreciation Chair here: appreciation@russellleepta.org.
Thanks for reading this week's Roadrunner Rundown. As always feel free to share your comments or feature suggestions with Clarissa at communications@russellleepta.org.
