Welcome to this weeks rundown! In this intro - we're celebrating some spectacular folks at Lee and highlighting a few April events for next week:

4/13 Bluebonnet Reader's Party, 3rd - 5th Grade

4/15 STAAR - 5th Science

4/15 PTA Meeting - 4:15 pm, voting on 2026/27 Exec Board

4/17 Volunteer Appreciation Lunch, 11:30 - 1:30, RSVP Here

4/19 Roadie Work Day

Library is adjusting next week to accommodate for STAAR testing. This means no library volunteers on Monday or Wednesday. But we can have volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday!

To Ms. Day, our wonderful Librarian: You truly are the best! Thank you for encouraging our kids to foster a lifelong love of reading and for taking the time to truly know their interests. You have a gift for helping every student find the perfect book.
To Ms. Ridgeway, our Assistant Principal: Thank you for being our fearless leader! We so appreciate your dedication to making sure everything runs smoothly and ensuring our school remains a great place to learn and grow.

The slate of nominees for the 2026-2027 school year has been announced - please join us next Wednesday, April 15 at 4:15 pm for a voting meeting to approve these nominees. Thank you to the Lee Staff for providing snacks for this meeting!

Come celebrate on Friday, April 17

We're celebrating Volunteer Appreciation a bit early. If you can join us for lunch on Friday, April 17th - we would love to show you our appreciation for all you do to help our school! Please RSVP by Wednesday to give an idea of head count - RSVP here.

Come have lunch with your child's teacher at their lunch time or Special Areas teachers starting at 11:00.

Art Show and Maker Faire

Save the date for April 24

Save the date for the annual Lee Art Show and Maker Faire on April 24th!

Framed self portraits will be on display -- and for sale by Artome -- in the gym from 4:00-6:00 pm. Art by all grade levels will also line the halls.

This show will overlap with our Maker Faire, 5:00-7:00 pm, hosted by Lee upperclassmen Ms. Day.

Roadie Workday - Earth Day Cleanup!

Sunday, April 19

Join us on next Sunday, April 19 from 8 am - 11 am to help us care for the school grounds. We will provide trash pick up tools and gloves but PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE and wear work appropriate clothing.

Mark your calendars for our next spirit night at Torchy’s Tacos in Mueller on April 28th from 4–8 PM! Come enjoy some chips + queso, tacos, and margs while supporting Lee.
