Roadrunner Fun Run - Oct 15th!

Roadrunner Families,

We are officially less than two weeks from this year’s Roadrunner Fun Run! With the success of our recent Roadrunner Rally fundraiser, this year’s Fun Run will not be a fundraiser, but focus entirely on fun and fitness. As in previous years, students from all grade levels will be running around the perimeter of our campus with a final lap around our newly refurbished track. Family members who would like to cheer on their

Roadrunners are welcome to gather along our front sidewalk. We will be sharing additional information soon, including the grade level schedule. We are excited for the in person return of this campus tradition and to celebrate a love of running.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Roadrunner Rally. We greatly appreciate your support.

I want to thank everyone who helped us celebrate Custodian Appreciation Week. It was great to see all the love for our Custodial Team who work so hard to keep our school safe and clean, especially in these current times. Please remember that on Monday, October 11th there will be no school as we will be meeting with families for our annual Fall Conferences. This is one of the helpful opportunities to get feedback from your child’s teacher on their progress this year. We encourage all families to schedule a teacher conference soon. We will be holding our monthly PTA Meeting on Tuesday evening and our first Principal’s Coffee of the year on the morning of Thursday, October 14th. We hope you will join us for all of these events. As always, reach o

ut with any questions.

Lastly, as we transition into fall, this is a reminder that all students need to arrive to class before the sound of our tardy bell at 7:40. Our day starts right at the sound of that bell with some exciting morning announcements and a morning meeting within each classroom. When students arrive late it can be difficult to catch up on what to expect for the day and is disruptive for our busy Office Team. Thanks to everyone’s teamwork in the morning, our traffic pattern is flowing smoothly and students should be able to arrive well before the 7:40 bell. Please assist us in getting all Roadrunners to school on time.

Have a wonderful weekend,

John Hewlett
